My name is Abby Tucker, I’m 27 years old and have been doing cookies for 14 years!
My love for art started way back! I remember not being able to pay attention well during school. I would see a bird or tree that I really wanted to draw. But, instead I had to sit at the kitchen table while my mom explained subtraction and addition. (I was homeschooled all the way through till graduation) GO MOM!
When I reached high school my mom asked me to create a business plan as a school project. She asked me to think of something that would keep my interest… So I chose baking. “Get more specific…” Alright, cookies! And the beginning of The cookie Virtuoso started! I originally named my business Classy Cookies (The O.G followers will remember!)
Over the years I’ve competed and presented my cookies in many places. One of the competitions being The Foodnetwork Christmas Cookie Challenge! Where I won $10,000 and the title of Christmas Cookie Champion! (The recipe I have listed for sale was stated as “One of the best cookies I’ve ever had” by Eddie Jackson 😍
I believe art no matter the medium can show us parts of ourselves that we either don’t want to look at or have a hard time expressing verbally. If you can allow yourself to open up and freely express yourself on the canvas you’ll find the patterns, shapes and colors may reflect the feelings you have in that moment. Allowing you to dive deeper into those areas that may never have been looked at or tended to.
